Our next class for Massage Therapy I begins January 29, 2008.
This introductory class into Massage Therapy gives the most comprehensive training available
to the beginning practitioner. You will gain the skills and knowledge to become a Massage Therapist
and once licensed, can begin working in various professional settings, such as chiropractic offices
physical therapy clinics, and spas, or even with your own personal client base.

Some of the techniques and mechanics taught in Massage Therapy I are:

• Muscular/Skeletal Anatomy
• Swedish Massage
• Manual Muscle Stretching and Passive Range of Motion
• Pressure Point Therapies
• Introduction of Deep Tissue Mobilization Techniques
• Headache Relief
• Chair Massage
• Proper Body Mechanics
• Ethics and Contraindication
• Business Applications

This course also includes the signature Clinical Touch system for treatment of the back and neck.

Massage Therapy I is a 130 hour certification course. It runs for 10 weeks and meets three nights
a week: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6:30pm - 10:30pm.
There is one Saturday class on the seventh or eighth week of the course from 8:00am - 6:00pm.

For 2008, the following courses are offered for MTI:

• January 29, 2008 - April 3, 2008
• April 15, 2008 - June 19, 2008
• September 30, 2008 - December 11, 2008 (no class on Nov. 25,26 or 27)
